That’s because the traditional piano method (which hasn’t changed since the 1700s) has only taught WHAT theory is and not WHY it is. When embraced with a sense of curiosity it can be exciting – “what would happen if we did this?”. It isn’t about flashcards and latin terminology.

Anyone can learn the skills of the creative pianist - those who weren’t born with it just have to work a bit harder, but ultimately they get a greater sense of satisfaction!

I can teach you to understand music with the bare minimum of note reading. You do NOT need to read sheet music to learn songs by ear, play from chord-sheets, riff, improv or write your own songs – and I stand by that.
